That was the worst run I've had in a really long time. I think it was the inserts in my shoes were forcing me to change my stride, working muscles I normally don't use as much. They also hurt my arches, so I'm going to be pulling those inserts out for tomorrow's run.
Not bad today. I was kind of sad throughout the whole run because I was thinking of how I was going to have to do more miles tonight, but then (hallelujah!!!) Bill told me I only had to run forty this week. Now I am very happy. :)
Party. I'm pretty excited for regions this year, because we did fartlek on the course and even with all the recovery I finished in just over twenty minutes, so I'm pretty confident that I'll break twenty this season, which is my goal.
Tapering for my 10K on Monday. Did about a mile and a half, six strides (those felt really good), and ended with another mile and half ish. Bill told me to just do 35 this week.
Whopping, right? Today was just a shake out run for monday. I didn't want to run on Sunday, so Bill told me to run as late as possible on Saturday. I ran at 11:30 at night.
